Week of April 6, 2026  ·  Round 35 wrap-up  ·  3 rounds remaining
This week
Olympiacos go top. Fener lose again. The title race is wide open.

Bayern Munich stunned Fenerbahçe for the second time in weeks, sending the defending champions to 2nd place. Olympiacos beat ASVEL to climb to the top of the table — their best position of the season. Hapoel survived an 11-point fourth quarter deficit to beat Panathinaikos in a thriller. Žalgiris beat Barcelona for the second straight time. And Monaco lost to Dubai, falling deeper into trouble.

With just 3 rounds left, the regular season title, playoff seeding, and the play-in race are all still being decided. This is the best stretch of Euroleague basketball all season.

3 things to know
1. Olympiacos go top — and the title race is anyone's game

Vezenkov dropped 23 points in Villeurbanne as Olympiacos won on the road to overtake Fenerbahçe on point differential at the top of the table. Both are 23-12. Real Madrid and Valencia are one win behind. With 3 rounds left, four teams can still win the regular season title. In Athens. The Final Four storyline writes itself.

2. Hapoel survive an 11-point fourth quarter deficit to beat Panathinaikos

92-88 in a game with 18 lead changes and 12 ties. Chris Jones hit four free throws in the final 26 seconds to seal it. Blakeney had 19, Bryant 18. Hapoel are 21-13 and cementing a top 5 position. Panathinaikos drop to 7th — still in the play-in zone, still fighting for the direct bye. The Final Four in Athens is four weeks away. Pana know they have to be there.

3. Monaco lose to Dubai. Their season is on life support.

Monaco lost 91-101 to Dubai Basketball — a team sitting 12th and fighting hard for the play-in. Dzanan Musa had 25 points and 10 assists for Dubai in one of the performances of the season. Monaco are now 19-16, sitting 10th, and in serious danger of missing the play-in entirely. Three rounds left. No room for error.

Stat of the week
18
Lead changes in Hapoel vs Panathinaikos — one of the most dramatic games of the Euroleague season. 12 ties. A 4-point comeback in the final seconds. Elijah Bryant has now posted double-digit PIR in 32 consecutive games.

Games to watch
Real Madrid vs Olympiacos (Tue 7 April)
1st vs 3rd. Both chasing the top seed. Olympiacos just took the summit — Madrid want it back. This could determine home-court advantage in the playoffs and who faces whom in the bracket.
Panathinaikos vs Barcelona (Tue 7 April)
Two teams tied on 20-15, fighting for the same playoff bye spot. The winner takes a huge head-to-head advantage. The loser is in genuine danger of the play-in. With the Final Four in Athens, Pana cannot afford to lose this.
Real Madrid vs Fenerbahçe (Thu 9 April)
After losing to Bayern, Fenerbahçe need wins urgently. Real Madrid need them too. Two elite programmes playing a must-win in the final stretch. The best Euroleague game of the week.

🎯 Fantasy corner

Start this week

Sasha Vezenkov (Olympiacos) — 23 points in Villeurbanne. PIR leader all season. On the team that just went top. Two massive games this week vs Madrid and Hapoel. Lock.
Elijah Bryant (Hapoel) — 32 consecutive games with double-digit PIR. An extraordinary stat. Start every week without thinking.
Sylvain Francisco (Žalgiris) — 14 points, 8 assists vs Barcelona. Žalgiris have won 4 straight. He's in the form of his season.
Kendrick Nunn (Panathinaikos) — 15 points in a loss but still productive. Pana vs Barcelona this week is a must-win. Nunn will be unleashed.

Sit this week

Any Monaco player — two losses in a row now, playing ASVEL (lost earlier in the season) then Barcelona (difficult game). Predictable rotation due to lack of players, confidence not at its best lately.
Any Fenerbahçe player — two shock losses in a row. The pressure is immense and rotation changes are coming.

🎲 Betting angle
Fener's crisis pricing
Fenerbahçe have lost to Bayern twice this season and are 2 wins behind Olympiacos. The books will still price them as heavy favourites vs Hapoel on Tuesday due to name value and home court. But a team rattled by back-to-back upsets at home is not the same proposition as their record suggests. Look for value on Hapoel +spread.
Monaco vs ASVEL — the trap game
Monaco face bottom-placed ASVEL on Wednesday — on paper an easy win. But Monaco have 2 losses in a row and a short rotation, while ASVEL beat Monaco earlier this season. A desperate team playing a "gimme" game is often where upsets happen. Don't blindly back Monaco here.

Always gamble responsibly. This is analysis, not financial advice.
